This third BAGC IP newsletter has been published. It reviews some of the 2021 achievements and insights from our input support interventions. It also explores the project’s most recent work and success stories as we move through 2022.

The environment for implementation of the project improved during 2021 compared to 2020. The 2020 cyclones had caused significant disruptions particularly to the irrigation schemes. However, with the generous additional funding provided by the Norwegian Embassy significant progress has been made on re-building infrastructure. The Covid restriction to movement and social gatherings – particularly in the early parts of 2021 as well as longer than expected rainfall for most of the first half of 2021 did still affect the timeliness of field operations and interaction with farmers.
