The third BAGC IP newsletter has been published. In this latest bulletin we explore the project’s most recent work and success stories during 2020. Like many programmes across the continent, the Covid pandemic has had an impact on our ability to significantly rollout activities particularly those that required training through bringing together large gatherings of farmers.

However the partnership has strived to engage with as many farmers as possible by adapting the ways it works. Training now includes techniques to avoid catching the virus, social distancing and wearing face masks as well as distributing widely awareness materials.

In September the Inputs Partnership was also fortunate to be selected as part of Yara’s Action Africa Thriving Farms Thriving Future programme. The initiative included production and distribution of 35,000 bags of high-quality fertilisers with zinc across selected programmes (including the Inputs Partnership) to directly support farmers impacted by the Covid 19 crises.
